Wonderful place for lunch or light evening dinner among books and a display of art works. Situated in the heart of the forest of Huelgoat, famous for its huge granite boulders, this little cafe - bookshop is the most interesting place around. The owner organizes art exhibitions, cultural events - there is always something interesting and in good taste going on. The cuisine is light and tasty - soups, cakes, locally brewed beer. A great variety of books to choose for too.
I really like this café librairie. It is a real gem hidden in the forest. After trudging along a dry river bed near the Mare aux Sangliers, to come across a wonderful large house that has been turned into a cafe bookshop is a very cheery site, indeed. Marc and Katia are very welcoming and their homemade savoury and sweet cakes are quite delicious. Sitting outside in the early spring and summer with just the sounds of birds and light African music coming from inside is incredibly relaxing. Bring your dogs along as well as the children, if you must. Sit outside in fine weather and inside explore the many books in French and English. There is always an art exhibition going on, live music evenings, poetry readings, chess games, bridge club, etc. Come along and lose yourself for a few hours.

Restaurant atypique situé en pleine forêt avec un espace extérieur superbe. Librairie avec de la littérature interressante. La carte est variable et l'on y trouve des repas différents d'ailleurs ce qui est un plus pour manger quelques chose d'autre
