Charming streets of Bern with beautiful Swiss architecture all around and stunning clock tower right at centre of the street with fountain, cobblestone and river underneath, there is nothing like this beautiful capital city.

Well, if you don't pay attention, you'll walk by without noticing the clock bell (tower) (which it is calles in Bernese German, Zytglogge). It's not humongous as a Big Ben, it lays pretty homogene in the structure of the historic city. There's a quirky little mechanic play at each full hour. If you can, go at noon or later in the day. Otherwise, the whole thing only lasts for one \glong\, and, yeah, that would be it. Furthermore, it's the only UNESCO heritage site I'm aware that has a urinal on its side. So you can empty your bladder at it. Legally.

The Zytglogge tower built in the early 13th century is an 800-year old landmark medieval tower in the Old Town of Switzerland's capital city Bern. It also has an astronomical clock which represents the planets revolving around the sun. Zytglogge in Bernese German means 'Time Bell'. Painted above the astronomical clock are five deities from Ptolemaic cosmology. Each representing both the day of the week and a planet in their order. Saturn with sickle and club for Saturday, Jupiter with thunderbolts for Thursday, Mars with sword and shield for Tuesday, Venus with Cupid for Friday and Mercury with staff and bag for Wednesday.

The core point of sightseeing Bern. What a unique architecture! Gloomy nights are so cool in this city. A “must visit” part of architecture and history. Damn I love this city!

Located in the heart of Bern market. One of the most beautiful monuments. Beautifully preserved. The chimes can be heard very clearly around the tower. Must visit this place to appreciate its true beauty.

Very interesting medieval clock tower with an extremely complex clock, which also has an astronomical part. During my visit at 12 o'clock without 5 minutes, the small figures to the right of the clock were also moving.
