I tried several type of Schnitzel il Berlin, and I can definitely say this one is one of the best, if not the best, especially because despite the fact that is HUGE, I didn’t feel full at all after eating it and the day after. It’s simple, well cooked, and it comes with a decent potato and cucumber salad. If you think the big dish is too much (it really looks like there are two schnitzel), there’s also a smaller size. The staff is quite nice as far as I can say. Will go back for sure. Not the cheapest restaurant in Prenzlauerberg, but it’s definitely worth the price.

Love it - to me one of the best Schnitzel and even though I try hard to resist - I actually Lways end up with the Schnitzel (they are huge)....

This place really deserves all the recognitions it earned over the years. Few Austrian traditional dishes, extremely well made, no fuss. The ambiance is quite simple and the service really polite. I had the ‘lady schnitzel’ as the waiter told me the regular one is REALLY huge and my partner got the goulash. The schnitzel was huge, even in the ‘lady’ size. it was crispy, perfectly coated not greasy at all the the bread/egg ratio was well balanced. The goulash is to die for: it is so tender that you won’t need a knife. It is a bit pricey but for the quality and the size of the portions is worth it every single penny.

Very nice Schnitzel and big portions. That's all you need for a good time. Highly recommend

When telling you, the best Viennese schnitzel can be had in a 200 year old classy Berlin restaurant in city centre, the New York Times is wrong. This is definitely the best - and largest - in town, although in the Prenzlauer Berg vicinity. You can have a smaller version and the place features other typical Austrian dishes.
