Not for the faint of heart. Cool captain in a high winds situation, which to be honest was better than any theme park thrill ride I’ve even been on—white knuckle for the last five minutes or so though. I can attest that you won’t blow away. The view, meanwhile, is totally spectacular, and while the 25 price is admittedly a little steep, the adrenaline rush was 100 percent worth it! Not your typical tourist trap by any means, but as I mentioned, be prepared for a few heart stopping moments if the wind kicks up!

Great experience. Not sure how someone can review the experience poorly. Simply put, don't go up if you're afraid of heights with a weak stomach and just know that Berlin is probably one of windiest cities in the world and the balloon won't go up if it's a windy time. One of your best times to go will probably be in the height of summer where the wind unfortunately, but fortunately, abandons the city.

Sure, you might need to wait a while until you can enjoy this ride (maybe even weeks) due to the wind conditions, BUT I am glad that the crew watches out for our safety first. From my perspective, because the weather conditions do not allow for regular flights and the business needs to make enough cash to continue providing this service, the fee for the ride is completely exceptable. If you are afraid of heights and/or don't like a little turbulence, then this might not be for you. But for all of you camera trigger happy people out there, the balloon ride is a must. The 360 degree view of Berlin is absolutely stunning from up there. In my opinion, much better then from the Fernsehturm at the Alexanderplatz (dirt windows and pretty pricey too) .. So come and enjoy the ride!

Was in Berlin for a few days and sadly this was closed most days due to high winds, thankfully I managed to get a ride on my last day. My advice is if you want to ride the balloon and it’s open don’t wait for another day as it could be closed. Whilst short, the experience was great, lasted about 20mins in total and went to about 150 meters high where the view was absolutely amazing, well worth a view
