I got beef and my boyfriend got chicken. BOTH absolutely gorgeous. The meat was perfect and good quality and the portion size was very generous. Even the veg, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy were good too. We will be back again! Thank you.

A very smart bar playing blues and jazz. Cool decor and a good menu. The bar staff seem to know their stuff and there are good selections of whiskey/bourbon, gin and tequila. Reasonable prices and beer served in frosted glasses.
Excellent. Lovely setting and very friendly, welcoming and professional staff. Their steak and fries was the best steak I've had in a while and they will happily give you a second portion for free. Wine list very reasonable priced too. If you want a good steak head here.
superb food. have eaten in, but have also been ordering a few takeaways recently and it is always excellent. a really high standard of home cooked comfort food, coupled with really friendly and genuine staff. even the Sunday lunch, which typically doesn't work as a takeaway, was excellent. can't recommend this place highly enough!
Bergen House it’s one of my favourite places around Newington Green. The food is always good and fresh. The beer selection is right and the staff is simply great. Look up for it if you’re around this part of Hackney.
