Breakfast is saved by the view and the staff....the accommodation was an easy 5 stars. Definitely would stay here again. Location superb and it was easy to spend an evening chatting to the owner of the Kilim shop next door

In a country the has redefined breakfast to be an exciting ritual with it’s own festival (Istanbul Breakfast Festival), Red Basilica Cafe, managed to deliver the most boring breakfast imaginable. Packaged honey, packaged butter, packaged jam, common grocery store cheese and an over cooked hard boiled egg. Unless you are starving, go in any direction for 3 minutes and you’ll find a better breakfast. On the plus side, the setting is homey and the affable cafe owner is kind and pleasant.
