Never thought I'd review a cemetery but hey it's here and I know the place very well! Top marks everyone :) A well deserved rating. This cemetery is located between Forest Hall town center and the Metro station. Parking can sometimes be difficult but wait 20 minutes, return and you'll find a spot. The cemetery is covered with varied footpaths. Some twist and turn through older sections of the site while others are straighter on the newer parts. This is an ongoing concern - there are still many places available for burial. So why do I go there? That's easy - a peaceful place where I can escape from the troubles of life. I find peace here and for me that's priceless. People tend to leave you alone to think. Tyneside is friendly and most strangers chat but this location sees none of that but that's actually good!! I see a regular presence of staff at this site. It's well maintained considering how budgets are reduced. (It needs to stay as it is and not be allowed to overgrow - take note of that whoever manages the site) I've not visited inside the church here but do know it's open to all on a regular basis. I see signs telling me so. There are war graves here and they're very well marked out and respectfully maintained. Thank you.

Not sure what the last person based their review on but my parents, brother and sister are all buried here. Every time I have visited my loved ones I have felt a sense of peace, combined with the knowledge that they were there with me. Many years ago, when my eldest brother passed away and joined my parents in their grave, the staff at the graveyard put down turf in order to keep the grave at it's deserved standard.
