There is no signs really explaining anything to you. Luckily a man next to me explained I had to get a number. There were three ladies but only two working. Of course taking their time going super slow. Waited 40 minutes and there were even people sitting down on the floor where it was filling up with customers. Did not get welcomed by anyone. Just worst experience ever. Will be looking for a different office to renew my registration. Service was horrible.
The website stated that they were open. Drove there to found a notice on the door that read that they were closed on the 25th and 26th. Temple and Killeen offices posted that they were closed. Thanks to HEB that they do vehicle registration.
Every time I go into the Vehicle Registration Building in Belton, I am never more than six or seven in line--that is the most I've ever waited, and even then, that was only 20 minutes. I am always greeted with a smile and kindness and courtesy. It seems strange to me that people who live in Killeen and Harker Heights are willing to wait in line for hours at the Killeen facility 20 minutes away by car. They will wait in line just to get a number, sit for hours, greeted by clerks who look they are behind prison glass--and there are few smiles there, believe me. The Belton Auto Registration facility is staffed with terrific people, who obviously like serving customers and are very happy in the environment they work in. It's a nice place, it's fast and it's convenient. This is one government office that doesn't \feel\ like a government office. And, I'm not just speaking about myself. I have watched over the years how these folks treat everyone--it's the same across the board. Super experience. Super quick. Super courteous, and super professional. Thank you Bell County for this facility!
Someone killed themselves across the street from here and the high school students use it as a parking lot because they don't want to pay 40 to park.
