Such a lovely park first time I had been. The ladies in the tearoom are just so brilliant and the takeaway options were just what we needed for that cold day.

Gorgeous views and a love place for a walk. They also have a tea rooms that serves tea coffee and cake.
A beautiful hidden gem of a park perched on a hill. Has a historic graded tea room and a remarkable amount of lush greenery, mature plants and peaceful spot near centre of town. Good for kids and just a lazy stroll. Plenty of ground to walk around with a basketball court and kids play area nicely set aside. Good for runners too as there are paths that run across the park. Can't fault it. Especially in autumn when a range of colours surround you. Inhale, exhale, chill out. Plenty of 'scenic' backgrounds for those who like taking pictures.
A very beautiful park on a sunny Autumn day, and today it was very busy with people enjoying it. Cafe almost overwhelmed but excellent simple menu. Good coffee and cakes plus simple hot food. Tables on the rear veranda all in full sunshine. Not a negative note but beware there is a small charge for parking on site (except disabled) and it is patrolled!
