I just bought a property via Belgarum and they have been fantastic from start to finish. Alex was friendly, positive and supportive, starting with the negotiations which were wrapped up in only a few hours. She made sure things kept moving throughout - even on the sale of my previous house whenever things went quiet on the other side. It was a relief to be in such safe hands. At the best of times, buying a house is stressful, but whilst juggling the house sale/purchase and working full time, I never had to worry if things were moving along. Despite buying at the lower end of the market, I didn't feel like I was treated as such, I was always taken care of and kept in the loop. I highly recommend others to consider Belgarum for the level of service you get only with a local agency. Had the privilege of speaking with Alex for a short period of time. Belgarum genuinely want the best for anyone who walks in the door. It's very refreshing. Would thoroughly recommend.
We used Belgarum to sell our home and could not have asked for more. From the first moment I spoke with them they were polite and invested in helping us move. The valuation was given using not only rightmove (it seems every agent prints off the same stuff) but also their own experience and knowledge (which you can’t buy!). We were on the market for 10 days and had 20 viewings. All feedback was given without me having to chase them (huge when you think each viewing might be your sale!). They took all of the stress out of it for us. We agreed a sale to the right buyers at the right price (no rush for us to take the first offer, they made sure we got what we needed). All of that was brilliant but then you get introduced to their sales chaser Harriet, who was out of this world! Dealing not only with our sale but also doing everything she could to help with our purchase as well. (Even though it wasn’t through Belgarum). There was a couple of hick ups along the way (mainly from the person we were buying from) and Harriet dealt with all of it, even when she wasn’t around Paul then jumped in and made sure that the problems got solved and everything was communicated to our buyers. It’s been a crazy year considering wants been going on and I could not recommend Belgarum highly enough. Thank you!
While Belgarum was very helpful and quick to get us into the property, our property management has been shocking. We have asked for the windows to be cleaned November last year when we moved in, this has never happened, even a year later. That same month we have asked for permission to fit a cat flap in, which took over 2 months (!) to be communicated, after seveal emails and phone calls of us, my poor cat was not able to go outside when she needed to. This didnt stop Belgarum to charge us extra 20 pounds for having a cat at the property. March last year we have notified them that the extractor fan in the bathroom is broken, it took them 10 months to get it fixed, while we struggled with mold (despite most effort to keep the window open but it is not easy in winter). The fence got damaged and we waited for nearly two months to hear this was not our landlord's responsibility to have it fixed. Lastly, we have been waiting for 3 weeks now to arrange a simple dishwasher repair. Despite our numerous emails and calls, all we hear is that due to covid everything takes longer...I would not recommend this agency.
The worst purchasing experience in my life. Never use them again! Slow response, unprofessional, no passionate! I strongly recommend Charters if you need to sell your house in 3 months. It is a award winning company with passionate staffs. They all dress smart. Always get your viewings booked straight away. Get your answer with half hour. Please do use Belgium if you want your house still on market after one year or if you want your house failing through three times. Everyone at Belgium are rude and miserable from sales team, admins to director. I even saw a staff wears a mini skirt with bare legs in their office. Looking at how they response bad reviews here, you would know people have no value at Belgium!
