Best to time your visit with the cathedral arts festival or culture night. Both great experiences that go beyond the religious. fabulous architecture, a lot of history and a modern management make this one of Belfast's go to tourist attractions.

This is a beautiful cathedral. We walked in a few minutes before close and the the two men staffing the entrance just let us enter and walk around for free. We were able to take a quick walk around and get some great pictures!
Nicely built. Don't need to take the 5 tour. Beautifully decorated and preserved.
I learnt quite a few things here, right from when I walked in. One of them: the pillars mean more than just a support for the cathedral superstructure; they are based on particular biblical doctrines/principles. And standing before the stained-glass \Creation Story\ filled me with so much awe. Wished I could have stayed in the cathedral for much longer and soaked in a lot more of its
Beautiful cathedral right in the heart of Belfast. Whether you're religious or not you can't help but appreciate this fine building with all of its imposing charms. Worth a visit
