Lovely muddy walk in the winter. Beautiful place to take some photographs. And great to take kids in their wellies. And walk the dog (if your dog doesn't hate mud and water)

A friend arranged a walk for my birthday to Beeleigh Falls & along the canal. The weather was fabulous for the time of year.
During the current lockdown l was looking at places that l could have a walk and l discovered this place on the internet. There is a carpark near the falls, but l decided to park the car in the Heybridge Basin and start my walk from here. The walk from Heybridge Basin to Beeleigh falls took me about an hour (3.3miles). Once arrived at the falls l was very surprised how beautiful the falls and the surrounding landscaping was. I would highly recommend visiting here.
Beautiful walk, lovely time of year due to the water levels creating stunning cascading water. Recommend walking boots or Wellingtons if walking across bridge.
You need wellies at the moment but,summertime I think will be great for a walk along the river and locks. Had a great time though.
