Sporty Boy

Fabulous facility, knowledgeable PT's, friendly receptionists. Bedfordshires finest. Only let down by the rude tennis guy (common knowledge) hence 4 stars.

I've lived in Bedford since 2001 and the town was always crying out for a health club that was more than just a gym. It took 16 years, but in 2017 a local businessman with vision opened this place and it's great. My tennis playing friends all tell me that the tennis facilities are great but I love the well-equipped and, more especially, light and spacious gym. You can watch Sky Sports and run at the same time. As monthly membership here is about the cost of a Sky subscription, I forego the latter in favour of the former and watch the football either in the lovely TV lounge or on the running machine. The food here is inexpensive and good and the bar has both draft lager and beer.

Best club in the country, professionally run, great management and team, facilities second to none, good hygiene and friendly atmosphere. Very reasonable membership fees and reasonable prices in the restaurant and bar.

I've been a member for nearly year and as a complete beginner in this environment i have totally fallen in love with the place. My family membership was complicated due to various changes in the beginning and they couldn't be more helpful - the staff are always upbeat, helpful and responsive and the facilities are absolutely incredible. Cannot speak highly enough of this amazing find!! Brilliant!
