We have been having Chinese takeaways from Bedford for over 3 decades now. Up until about 10 years ago, the best Chinese takeaway in Bedford was Lee’s down Castle Road. Ask anyone that knew that takeaway (before Yin and David Lee retired) whether or not it was the best, and I’m sure they would say that it was. Then, after having tried most, if not all the Chinese takeaways in Bedford for the next few years and not really liking any of them, we settled on the Canton down Tavistock Street. We stayed with this one because it was best out of all the others that we’d tried, and it passed the 3 orders in a row without a problem test. Then, a chance trial at Delicacies of China during lockdown last year (when the Canton was closed), and we are still going there nearly 1 year on. It not only passed the 3 orders without a problem test, but it has consistently served us absolutely excellent food ever since. We believe that Delicacies of China is THE best Chinese Takeaway in Bedford. The food, the service, and the prices have compelled us to have a takeaway from here every single week. Lee ensures that the food is exactly how we like it, and exactly what we want. We have enjoyed the food every single week without a single problem. Its always hot, well cooked, on time and so so so delicious. So much so, that I have been recommending Delicacies of China to all my friends and relatives. They too agree, so we would recommend this takeaway to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

Very poor took over 1 hour and 50 minutes .when food turned up rice tasted burnt over cooked. There are better restaurants in bedford not recommended try else where .

30 minutes from order to delivery. Best Chinese food for a long time delivered hot and fresh. Very highly recommended.

Prices was good, cheaper than anywhere else I could find, and the food was nice. Would certainly buy from here again :)

Ordered food from here, got given the wrong food. Staff were rude. Once I received the food the prawns were raw and the beef wasn’t cooked properly and smelt really bad. Really bad.
