Fabulous Sunday lunch
Great food with brilliant service. Well cooked fresh veg and always a good choice of meat and fish. Desserts are among the best I've had in many restaurants....try the cheese board. Its fabulous. It's a relatively small place being a converted house but that means it doesn't get too crowded or noisy. Good for a relaxing meal for 2 or a family birthday meal. I've had both there. You could get a nice meal in town (Wakefield) and probably pay 20 less per couple but you get what you pay for and Beatson would be my preferred choice. Somewhere comfortable to sit and have a drink while you look at the menu, and your not rushed. One small downside is that parking is limited as its a converted house and the car park is what was the back garden but that's a minor inconvenience for having a really good meal. Would recommend it highly.
Loved it! Friendly welcome by the staff and the food was absolutely gorgeous! I had venison and it was cooked to perfection and it was accompanied with nice well cooked vegetables. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again. Thumbs up all round.
