Only open during the summer season, but so so worth taking a visit !There's the choice of purchasing already picked fruit and veg on site, or (which is way more fun) you can go into the fields and pick your own fruit! They had a great variety of different strawberries, gooseberries, and blackcurrants. My partner and I had an amazing time picking fantastic strawberries that we're looking forward to coming back before peak season is over. It's the perfect place to enjoy your harvest and relax during the summer!
Strawberries are late now so some are left in the field to the right of the car park. Gooseberries gone. Loads of redcurrants/blackcurrants/tayberries and raspberries. They have veg as well. Contact less card payments accepted and staff are nice and friendly with a good approach to social distancing and hygiene.
We visited last Friday, just before the end of the season and easily picked 3kg of raspberries. We saw people picking strawberries so got 1kg of those as well, though that was slightly more effort. Both fruits were delicious, the strawberries wonderfully sweet. And they kept very well in the fridge for several days. They were also wonderfully responsive when I messaged them on Facebook and the young lady on the desk when we arrived was very friendly. We'll certainly visit again next year.
Great place. Lots of fruit. Friendly staff. We came home and made a lovely fruit crumble for tea.
