Excellent little cafe. Good choice of menu and tasty food, great friendly service too.

Good dog friendly cafe in the middle of Wallingford (there is a room upstairs that you can take your pooch). Also caters well for babies (high chairs) and wheelchair users - they have a ramp available to help get in the step at the front door.

Food arrived after 30 minutes. No cutlery. Asked the waiter, he said “yes, of course”. Then, guess what, no cutlery ever arrived. Luckily a tiny spoon came with the tea. So i finished my coleslaw with this spoon and cut the scone. The scones and the tea were nice. The food - not so much.

Bean & Brew is a really nice coffee shop with a great range of drinks and snacks. The building has character and there is plenty of seating. I have no complaints about the quality of the drinks and food, but I would say that the speed of delivery is lacking. For instance, it took 25 minutes to get two coffees and a toasted teacake brought upstairs which isn't great. It's not like it was actually busy either! My wife and I pop in regularly and what is disconcerting is that it always seems to be different people serving every time, which may be the cause of the delays as new staff find their way. The staff themselves are friendly and polite, but the speed does need to be addressed. Ultimately, though, it is still our favourite coffee shop in Wallingford, it's a great place to pop in to and the choice is excellent. I just don't want to wait 25 minutes for something simple.
