excellent experience today. Only one related group at a time in the shop. Safe environment, hand washing and hand gel. Very helpful and helped me choose colours for a project, in Jamieson and Smith. I also bought some lovely Regia merino yak and some crochet thread. Jen is so knowledgeable and helpful. Great choice of yarn to covet / buy and i also bought a lovely wooden pompom maker (makes 3cm and 5cm pompoms).5.1.2021 Excellent experience again, ordered yarn a couple of days ago and arrived today. Temperature blanket can be started promptly thanks to beaker button swift service.

We did a Dorset Button Workshop and had a fab day. Very full day, with lots of excellent teaching input from Jen whose very patient and encouaging. The shop is really well stocked with all things wool and knitting, crochet or buttons. Highly recommend it.

I ordered some mini yarn skeins and Dorset button PDFs via the online shop. The yarn is so soft & beautifully dyed - and the colours are very attractive. My favourite is the purple, sparkly yarn: it has the right amount of sparkle with attractive, deep purple tones. Over the past year, I have bought several How-To booklets about how to make Dorset buttons, but have been disappointed with poor instructions , challenging grammar - and unclear diagrams. I have had no such qualms with the two PDF booklets that I have purchased here. The instructions are on the whole very clear and are supported by a series of photos showing you every steps of the button making. I love that the style of buttons are varied, from the traditional to the modern - including how to add beads.
