The food is great and the service is good. The bar space is of a good size too. The service and food is consistent, some places can vary being good or bad depending on your visit. Every time I go to the beacon I know the standard I previously experienced will be experienced again.

Absolutely fine lunch but a little on the average side in every respect. Coffee machine was broken so we couldn't have more than instant, but that's just one of those things. Staff were very friendly and just the right amount of attentive, and food arrived in good time and it was pretty generous portions. Toilets were a little tired and could have done with a bit of tlc. I would go there again for a casual lunch, but probably not for a romantic anniversary celebration.
ovely staff, polite and very helpful. My son and myself decided to have the lunch time lite bite. My son had the steak which he asked to be cooked medium, it was well cooked when he received it and some of the chips were still solid. I chose the fish and chips. The fish was wet and the batter was very greasy, some of the chips were not cooked very well and the peas were cold. Not a nice meal even though the price was good, still no excuse for poor food.
Went for a meal last night to celebrate some straight A's. Had a mixed grill and asked for well done but didn't expect it to be burnt around the edges. Pepper sauce was watery. Left the chicken breast as it was too dry to swallow.
