Brilliant open country park. We live close by but never realised what a gem we have on our doorstep. Nice big car parks, great kids play areas and acres of open space to explore

Great place to go walking and explore, plenty for all ages and abilities, there are good well trodden paths and plenty to explore including open grass fields, woodlands and country paths. Great for dog walkers

Vast open area not overly populated so a nice place to visit if appropriate during lockdown. Lots of different spaces for children to play and explore.

Love having this wide open space to walk right on my doorstep. People travel from miles to visit, lucky living so close. Pity the purpose built pathways are becoming overgrown especially at the Parsonage Road end, it will have disappeared in a couple of years and be back to the natural trodden pathway it used to be. Gets really busy at the weekend with walkers and dogs. If your dog doesn't like other dogs I wouldn't recommend visiting as most dogs are let off leads so they can run around and play with other dogs. There's a kids play area near the golf club which has a cafe for drinks and food. There's woods to wander in as well as open spaces. There's even an old Roman road with the remains of a house. There's usually a kite festival but I don't think it's been held this year. Overall well worth a visit.
