Nice sandwiches, good Covid precautions
We booked for lunch for four for 1.30pm today having seen the pub and its menu online. It is also dog-friendly. No table had been reserved for us - it appeared the booking system and actual staff didn't marry up. Luckily there was a table that was big enough for us, in the window. Had to order our food and drinks at the bar and waited quite a while to be served - both the order and the food. Chose this place as it looked like they catered for vegans pretty well. In reality not so much. Shared a veggie platter (our omnivore had the halloumi). Mains actually available for three of us were a veggie burger or mushroom and spinach stroganoff which had way too much smoked paprika in it that made it very bitter. Our omnivore enjoyed a tasty Beach burger and chips. Lovely glass of house red, though. Sadly slightly disappointed.
