Great mid-morning market for residents in Green Lane, Jelutong & Batu Lanchang area. First building near the car park being the wet market & the second one are the hawker stalls. Ample parkings. Spend an hour or two here, it's a great place to get fruit/vegetables & sample Penang delicacies at the hawker stalls. I hope there would be some options of organic produce here in the future. We frequented 'Setor Buah-buahan Hock'. Owner is a nice man, honest with his dealings. We once brought back a rotten sour sop fruit. The following week or two, we informed him. He relaced a fresh one for us without any charges. Thank you uncle Hock.

Open 11am-8pm, price medium, easy find huge carpark with smart pay. Recommend chicken purchase with young chinese guys. Vegetable in middle stall
One excellent market to enjoy breakfast and lunch. Breakfast you can always enjoy some delicious nasi lemak and kuih and great coffee while the place is loaded with lots of great food during lunch. My favorite items here for lunch includes che hu (chinese pasembur), chicken rice, char koay teow, nyonya kueh and nasi tomato Parking is rather convenient although the big parking lot can fills up rather quickly.
Batu Lanchang market is famous for Penang's hawker delights in addition to the wet market in the afternoon. It is a good place to buy groceries and fresh produce though the price may be a little expensive compared to the nearby Jelutong market. The food court is always a hive of activities during lunch hours. You can find a variety of hawkers food to choose such as chicken rice, nasi kandar, mee goreng, pasembur, char koay teow among others. The amenities have been upgraded recently with walkways, gardens, playgrounds and ample car parks. There's also food truck on every Saturday's evening which is a favourite among youngsters. A place not to be missed for visitors to experience the local lifestyle, authentic food and lively wet market. You will be spoilt for choice. With Chinese New Year around the corner, you can find beautiful arches set up along the walkways decorated with full blooms of cherry blossom and traditional Chinese lanterns. A scenic place for selfie and instagram.
Lovely wholesome place. Great variety. Wonderful local food. Lovely cultural experience.
Offer take away only during MCO, one of the convenient market here.
Overall the wet market is very convenient and all the seller there are nice. Except for the pork seller who is very dishonest and arrogant. No wonder there are only 2 pork stalls there but yet their pork meat are not selling well. Compare to the Cecil Street Market where there are so many pork stalls but more customers prefer to buy from them.
Good place. Can start market lunch time. If you working person who has no time for morning market this is good place to go on ur second half day. Fresh fishes n veg available here
