Wonderful hotel and restaurant, this Restaurant has over 20 rooms also lodges and 2 spots with electric for over night stops for campervans. A great restaurant with locally sourced produce, most of the fruit and vegetables are grown on site. We were shown round the Garden, lodges and smoke house by the chef, where we saw how they smoked there own salmon and cheese. The hotel is in a dark area of Northumberland and you can view the stars in there own observatory. Excellent place to stay

If you want a restaurant that respects and adheres to the social distancing guidelines, manages to provide a sense of normalcy and yet delivers great service and excellent food - please come and support. We came here before our Dark Sky night event at the Observatory at the rear of the hotel. We were allowed to look around the allotment gardens at all the freshly grown produce that makes a guest appearance on the menu. And let me tell you the kitchen here can cook! The three courses I ate were Michelin guide quality, the service was very good and I thoroughly recommend. Worth a visit if you are staying nearby, and even if not!
