Caring, patient and sympathetic. Had to say goodbye to my best friend last week. They went that extra mile for me

I took my 17mth old cavachon here during lockdown and he was so traumatised by the experience that he now wont allow another vet anywhere near him (he was fine prior to this). I feel the vets need to have more knowledge about 'canine psychology' and 'canine behaviour' rather than just their physical condition. I now have a big battle on my hands trying to restore his faith in vets. :(

I’ve had a Very bad experience with this vets was with them for a few years and found them to be very rude dismissive and even arrogant in person and on the phone at reception. I once asked for a price on a treatment for my cat and twice refused me getting very aggravated and rude towards me on the phone and raising their voice to me. My cat had mange and suffered for nearly two years going back and forth to this vats. First they said she was having an allergic reaction to fleas even though I always had her treated for them and up to date with each treatment using only well known products. The vets tried telling me only 1 was any good even though I had already tried it so just in case this was the problem I tried it again. Nothing worked so back a go this time they said she was over grooming as she was stressed even though I said she was itching not over grooming, they wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say. I ended up buying antidepressant pills and food for my cat as advised by this vets as well as plug-ins all of which didn’t work. My cat was in so much distress because of the pure ignorance and attitude from all the staff here. I wasn’t offered or even told about skin tests. I took my cat to another vets and they agreed with me that what they diagnosed her with was definitely not the case and offered skins tests the lot within 2 months my cat is now better but no thanks to the vets in station road who also seem to just be money oriented. I would stay clear if you want your pets to have the best treatment.
