I transferred to this school I’m 6th grade back in 2013 because I never felt welcomed at the school I went to before that and instantly I loved it. But I really struggled with staying on task. The teachers wanted me to get tested for ADD. I went and sure enough...I had it. Unlike my old school who didn’t care that I had ADD and just shoved homework down my throat and never made an effort to help me, my teachers tried so hard to help me. Every day I from 6th-7th grade I would go down to Mrs. Pohorsky and she would help me with the things I was struggling with. They all helped a lot. And I made so many friends which I’m still friends with today which was a bonus for me. If I never transferred to this school, I don’t think I would be where I am now. And if I never transferred, I wouldn’t have discovered my love of volleyball to this day. Thanks Immanuel Lutheran for helping me out

This is a very secure location that requires remote door unlocking by the central office in order to allow anyone in who does not have a key. The only exception is for specific events that are open to the public. This venue hosted an incredibly special memorial service for an American Hero who died while serving his country overseas. Army Specialist Christopher Alexander Patterson was a member of the Indiana National Guard who was a student at Valparaiso University. His military family lives in Aurora and Batavia, Illinois respectively and have sacrificed greatly for the United States of America. Immanuel Lutheran did an amazing job putting together a touching tribute to our beloved fallen hero, and then-Governor of Indiana Mitch Daniels gave a heart-felt eulogy, while then-Illinois Governor Pat Quinn gave a disappointingly generic eulogy that came off as if he had filled in a Mad-Lib with Specialist Patterson's information in pertinent blank spaces. Though the self-absorbed Quinn pretty much marred the event, Governor Daniels was accessible to the family throughout the memorial service and more than made up for his counterpart Quinn's behavior of treating a memorial service like it was a Gubernatorial photo opportunity and all about Pat Quinn. I would be honored to attend Immanuel Lutheran or even possibly arrange to have my own memorial service there. They are patriotic Americans and consummate professionals.

Immanuel Lutheran School is a fantastic school. My children have loved all their teachers and look forward to going to school everyday. The loving atmosphere is just wonderful. Both my wife and I attended parochial schools and feel very blessed that we found not only this school but the great church community there. Anyone interested in a Christ based school for their children from pre school through 8th grade should check out ILS.

This is not a review on student experience at the school. This review is on customer service. I called this school inquiring about their preschool program in the Batavia location. Before I asked any question, the woman who answered the phone told me that they don't give out pricing info until I have an onsite tour at the facility. Then when I inquired about the classroom size and availability, the woman seemed to be on guard and said that they meet the state licensing requirement. I have called several other preschool programs in the area, and by far this was my worst experience. Who would want to enroll their child in a school where the most basic information on student size, pricing is being withheld? I always have doubts on schools that are non-transparent about how they operate and price their programs!
