The Waitrose supermarket in Basingstoke is directly adjacent to the John Lewis store. It is still very new in supermarket terms, beautifully appointed and boasting a spacious carpark free for the first two hours. Extra features are a café and a sushi bar. Almost any item of food a gourmand might seek is to be found here. The aisles are wide, a bonus for the Covid years and any member of the very helpful staff will accompany and guide you if you’re not quite sure where to find something, no matter how obscure. Highly recommended!
