Best pie and mash staff, great pies and mash and easy location to get to with parking nearby. My favourite place to go and they're probably sick of the sight of me with how often I'm there.

This is the real deal, not like the puff pastry pies served up elsewhere like lakeside. The mash is how it should be, has the odd lump, the pies are the original pastry recipe and the Beef inside with the gravy is good stuff too. Just from tasting the food, don't think anything is prepacked or out of a jar, so I'm thinking that this stuff is cooked from scratch which you don't get much of these days. As far as value goes, yep good value and the banter from the ladies behind the counter comes for free, but that just makes the place welcoming, as for the liquor, tad too dark, more used to a lighter colour like I used to get here and back in the Smoke. Will I go back? Keep going back and when in Southend I visit that shop too. Keep up the good work and don't let my food history die like so much of it has
