The variety of food on offer, reasonably priced, and the friendly customer service given, the local art on sale within the shop, and the ideal location next to the marina makes the basil cafe a real gem for the locals and visitors to Nairn.

Small but great atmosphere - well staffed and they are clearly enthusiastic for their business and produce, it felt like a well oiled machine as the table was populated with freah clean utensils and condiments. I tried my first vegetarian breakfast and it ate as good as it looked (see below). It was obvious they had solid local support but visitors were made extra welcome - happy to recommend and will visit again.
