Cozy small restaurant in the heart of Basel with delicious seasonal food with focus on details. Great meat (deer and beef). The service was good as well. Excellent traditional food with great choice of wines. Also the service is very nice. A place to come back! Highly recommend for a nice culinary experience and old world charm ambiance.

You would not expect that level of cuisine, that type of genuine hospitality, such a fantastic wholesome package, at this unique location. A fantastic star in Basel is shining beyond expectation, and far beyond Basel! Knowing the location from the former owner, the setting apart with this management and serving in the most guest centric manor is among the best I experienced world wide. Absolute class combined with a chef's ability to make the good reach perfection. A wine list with a great attitude, without the ambition to be all and everything, but with an excellent selection of top, middle and affordable wines, with great class, again. Recommended, yes, by a mile ahead of so many famous names.

As some other reviewers noted, the place is located in a very nice part of the city center, away from touristy crowds, on a nice street lined with artisan and architectural studios. The best restaurant. Must try it
