Barrie is so knowledgeable about pianos, went the extra mile to try and help me find some history to mine. Mine is a semi tone out now and I know I'm never going to get a hundred year old upright piano up to concert, it's just not worth the risk. But it's in tune with itself and I'm a happy girl. I've had my piano since I was a little girl and it was tuned then, 35 years later Barrie gets it to a semi tone out, fixed my pedals and cleaned it all for his standard tune price. He did a proper apprenticeship for 3 years. I think a lot of people think they can just buy an upright off buy n sell for 50 and expect them to be at concert in no time, they were probably never in concert their whole life.

He spent 5 mins in house said piano was semi pitch with loose strings, it needed gluing and he couldn't do anything. Asked for full tuning fee of 60. I was happy to give call out fee for his time but not full fee. If you don't know state of piano get someone who will take a call out fee in event nothing can be done.
Fantastic piano tuning at a very reasonable price. Quality work from an experienced guy.
