We hired Springwater to do a design for a huge addition. They were great to work with. The office staff were personable and relaxed, while still professional. They gave us a preliminary design for what we thought we wanted and then we ended up realizing the design needed major changes to become something practical and liveable. They quickly accommodated every request (we made many!) and we are really happy with the final design. We were told by a builder that the mechanical drawings especially were amazingly detailed. The charge was quite reasonable for the work done. We would use them again.

I would not recommend using this company. They tried to charge me more than initially stated, than insulted me. I should have known not to use them as the first time I met with the structural engineer he was late. Any time I tried to reach out for a question by phone, text or email, it was days or sometimes a longer until I got a reply and that was only because I had to call the office and tell her that he wasn't getting back to me. When I tried to just get a copy of the invoices that were paid, it was like pulling teeth, it took 3 weeks. When I tried to contact the owner, he didn't even bother to communicate with me at all. Not a good experience at all!
R S is a non reliable source for reviews, I know him personally and he told me that he was just likes writing bad reviews at places where he did work with. I haven't dealt with this company but don't want people that read R S reviews to be persuaded so look at the other reviews and take those into account instead of reviews R S writes.
Very disappointing with the many errors and omissions on the final stamped drawings which jeopardized the project. Engineer seemed apathetic, careless and tuned out when requested to find solutions to the many issues. Problems which cost the owner a lot of money to go back and repair were met with absolute un-accountability, in fact claiming \The issues with the design were in no way the responsibility of the engineer or designs\ The job of the engineer is 100% to ensure the design and engineering are correct for the client, not to put forth blame.
Best Engeneer I had here in Canada. Give them a try and let them make ur dream come real. Staff is wonderful and knowledge in that office is there in abundance. Koodos
