Went to the game last night with my 8 year old daughter and her friend. (January 26/19) game was awesome, exciting and very entertaining. Girls and myself had a great time. The downside... There was a guy sitting in front of us with his young son, looked to be about 5-6 years old . As the game went in he got progressively louder, heckling the visiting team, expected at a hockey game at this level . He also got more and more drunk, to the point where he threw his beer after a penalty from the refs that he didn't like, and soaked the fans for a few rows in front of him. A man who was showered with his beer confronted him and they were in the verge of fighting until security escorted the beer thrower out, with his kid who was obviously embarrassed. My daughter and her friend saw the whole thing (it was a row in front of us) and Felt scared at the whole incident. Security did a great job diffusing the situation before it escalated, but why was this guy not cut off before it came to this? Bar staff should've noticed he was obviously getting intoxicated ( I saw him down at least 4-5 big beers) and stopped serving him. If they want to keep promoting this as a family friendly event they need to keep a closer eye on this type of behaviour and stop serving people like this before it gets out of hand like it did last night. Now my daughter doesn't want to go back because she's worried that she might see something like this again. Disappointed in the bar staff.
