Fantastic food and fantastic service. Best restaurant in Barnsley. Never had a bad meal there.

We have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened, sadly today was our last visit, the staff as always are very welcoming, but we felt social distancing wasn't being observed, neither was hand hygiene, the waiter was shaking hands and then not sanitising. Only one member of staff was wearing a face covering. There were far too many people in (a large party of 2 long tables about 40 people) which I felt was unacceptable in today's climate, there were then approximately another 8 tables around the edge which is far too many for the size of the restaurant. The food was just ok when in the past it's always been good, the service wasn't great I was sat waiting about 15 minutes after I'd asked for the bill, my husband had to go outside as it was extremely hot, I started to make my way to the door for some air and they were straight over then with the bill obviously thought I was leaving. People were coming in and out constantly no-one sanitising their hands, only tables being wiped down between dinners no chair arms wiped and definitely no door handles. All in all a stressful experience.
Never had a bad meal here and always great, friendly service too. Been using the delivery service during the recent lockdowns and can’t fault it.
Great food, great prices and really lovely staff! Thank you so much for making my birthday meal special.
