Ive been using Barnes for 29 years, but today ive taken in 2 watches and been met with nothing but excuses and it now seems they cant even do a simple watch bracelet alteration...im disappointed and will no longer be using this jewellers...........I did not mention that you succeed in changing a battery as this was irrelevant to the excuses I received all relating to straps and bracelets on both of the watches and yes the watch was expensive, it cost in excess of 600, but then so did another Rotary watch I brought in 3 years ago for you to alter the bracelet and the links were similar and you had no problems in doing the job in anycase, you are a jewellers who advertise alterations and repairs, if you are not confident enough to carry out such then perhaps you ought not to advertise.
Very helpful, friendly & pleasant staff and I was impressed by the quality & range of jewellery. I will certainly shop at Barnes & Son again.
