Absolutely love this place. Gorgeous food. And great menu options including gluten free AND even vegan! So hard to find such great tasty food in small market towns like this that are suitable to all dietary requirements. Great service. The manager is warm and welcoming and has a great dark & sarcastic sense of humour. But always welcoming. I always go here for food and drink when visiting North Yorkshire, as its 2nd to none. Oh and the hot chocolate and coffee is out of this world. Very impressed. Set in a very cute market town of Helmsley.

So many cafes in Helmsley , avoid this. It was our 1st and last visit. The man who was cooking ( may be the owner ) was really rude when entering and ordering. No tract & trace system in operation, cleaning of tables is a joke . The young girl came out cleaned HALF the table and no cleaning of the plastic menus. She also had just been out and stroked a dog , asking the owner about it ( no social distancing ) and then went back inside, no hand washing or sanitizer, took someone's order and then brought drinks & food out.I am so glad we only had drinks .

Fabulous! The food was excellent, the service was incredible. The gentleman that served us was the epitome of service excellence. The anchovy bruschetta pictured came with 3 slices but I inherited an extra one from another in our group. Everything was so great, cannot praise them enough!
