Definitely worth a visit if you search for an authentic Barcelona atmosphere and want to have a cup of coffee or eat Catalan cuisine. The building is impressive. Also Sant Andreu as a district is so authentic and not destroyed by excessive tourism yet. Here is the history of Versailles: In the middle of the heart of the town, in the Plaza del Comerç and Carrer Gran de Sant Andreu, stands the building of Can Vidal, at the bottom of which there is the Bar Versalles. Can Vidal, located on land where previously there were houses on the ground floor plus the property, owned by Margarida Guardiola, was built at the request of the new owner, Francesc Guardiola - nephew of the mentioned Margarida, in 1907. According to the registry of the Urban Property: \Don Francisco Guardiola Jubany (...) has constructed under the direction of the architect Don Miguel Pascual (...) the new resulting estate\.
