This centrally located square is where the Catalan regional government sits. A lot of local events are organized here. Be it rallies, concerts, political meetings, etc.

Walked through just as a protest about the curfew and restaurants, gyms etc having to close etc due to the Coronavirus situation arrived. Police were waiting but the protest just turned left as it arrived and went off down a side street, which would have caught the police unawares. There were a few bystanders and press people around, plus a reasonable police presence, but nothing major.
Awesome place for a stroll during the afternoon!
A place full of life and surrounded by many places to eat tasty food, what else would you need?
Cool spot and I seemed to walk through it a dozen times on the way to somewhere else. Always something happening there and events were being staged while we visited. Everything is so fancy!
