Really surprised at people moaning about perfectly smart and adequate toilets??? Try most national coffee places. Much worse. Instead, far more importantly, you get helpful friendly staff, good beer, fair pricing and thanks for our 3 top notch burgers with lovely fried potatoes as a break from boring standard chips. Many thanks.

I've lived in Carlisle for 30 years and I first went to Bar Solo this past halloween. To be honest, I am a bit frustrated that i've left it this long. The staff were a good laugh, playing loads of games and getting everyone involved, the drink prices were fine, the company was great and everyone was dressed up. Better than the majority of bars in Carlisle. Would highly recommend.

This is a little hidden jewel for the best coffee n cocktails made with passion. The SHERRY TRIFLE SHOT is a must just before you head out into the cold.

Great place to watch the world go by. The sun sets here, so it's a great place to sit outside in the evening sun doing a bit of people watching. The interior is beautiful. Not sure if they are authentic victorian/Georgian tiles but they look it.
