Banquet Records

As I'm in Germany, this is a review of their online store only. Today it happened: I had to pay custom fees for the first time for my banquet order. Not their fault, of course! However, that won't stop me from shopping there! I would miss out on one of the best online stores for music! I've been shopping at their online shop since 2018 and I have never had a bad experience. Items arrive mostly within 5 to 14 days. Items come as described and are not overpriced (not even signed copies, thank you for that!). Shipping prices to Europe are bearable. They offer nice sales or stuff like personalised copies or Banquet exclusives now and then, which is a pleasant surprise always. I would recommend Banquet Records to every record collector!

I've been shopping at Banquet in-store for as long as I can remember & have always had a brilliant experience. I recently made one of my first online purchases with them & my experience has been less than brilliant, so much so that I shall not be shopping with them again. I ordered a few items on the Love Record Stores day, one of which being the Oasis vinyl that was pretty hard to get hold of. It arrived damaged, the outer sleeve had been ripped. Disappointing to see the vinyl had been handled so carelessly, I take great pride in my collection, I wouldn't add something of this standard to it given the choice. All Banquet could offer was 4 off & for me to keep the damaged item or for me to return the item & get a refund. Disappointing I think you'll agree. The complaint was initially dealt with by Max who was polite, once I expressed my dissatisfaction with my options I was passed over to Jane. She was rude & suggested I has caused the damaged myself. I think Jane may require a little course in customer service. Don't shop with these jokers, especially when it's a rare release.

Unbelievable Record Shop! Great vibe, the best in-store and live shows and quality selection of both new LPs and 7s but also re-releases/classics. Record Store Days are always a great experience too. I haven't had any bad experiences online but if people have, I think they should be more patient and respect it's an independent record store doing it's best during an almost impossible time for retail. I can't wait for it to re-open properly and get back down there!

Unlike some other reviewers of their online shop, I had a very pleasant experience with them. The record arrived very well packaged and in mint condition. My order arrived quickly and I will definitely consider shopping here again.

Attended record store day 2018 and it was a great, the staff were checking in on people in the queue, refreshments were offered sunscreen was given out, really relaxed attitude to the day (which is great considering how busy and stressful it must have been. I did t get all I wanted but they did have and amazing selection of records.
