I have banked personally and corporately with Bank Five Nine since about 1995. It started back in the days of getting a business loan on a two sided standard form! Granted those days are gone. But I find that the bank is always willing to go the extra mile to sort out my business and housing financing needs. I have been approached every year by competing banks and its hard to switch with the quality people they have in positions to help. Moving banks is a risk that would cause a lot of stress for sure. Since 1995 there have been two (2) managers at my branch! That is amazing. The current manager, Joe in the Hartland branch where I bank, makes the decision to stay extremely easy. I can call the Hartland branch manager and get a response on my question either right away, or he will take the time to help me figure out who I need to call and then take my question to them and keep me in the email loop as he searches out the answer. Pretty awesome actually. The previous manager, Mary, had the same work ethic before she retired after many decades at the bank. Given both of my day to day problem solvers were great, I think its a general hiring practice to hire people who can think and truly care. A for me and my business.

We have been banking with First Bank Financial Centre for the past 5 years and every step of the way they have been the “Best” financial institution we have ever dealt with in my 35 years in the business world. We opened up a local business 5 years ago and First Financial has been there every step of the way and we could not have grown to where we are today without them. And where you really see a financial institution shine is how they react to one of the largest financial crisis in our history. And this one “Shines”! When this first started I literally received a phone call from Tyson at the bank asking if we were ok and explaining options on our mortgage and other loans we have with First Financial, how awesome is was to have our bank reach out trying to help. I have been through the 2008-2010 crisis and my bank back then just wanted to know how I was going to pay them back quicker!! Tom Stapleton, Tyson Goecks and the rest of their great team God Bless you and thank you for serving our community.

After telling us they service their own mortgages they immediately sold our mortgage to Suntrust. We wanted a mortgage with a local bank not a huge corporation and now we have a mortgage with a bank where we're just a number that doesn't even have an office within 500 miles. Update: things are even worse. Suntrust is awful. I am having a horrible experience with my mortgage.
