We first met Dr. Griffith a few years ago, when my wife was diagnosed with an aneurysm in her ascending aorta. Dr. Griffith is an older guy who looks like he could play a doctor on television. He also acts the part, with a warm, reassuring demeanor that helped to put both of us at ease. He explained things very well, saying that he would monitor the aneurysm annually, and operate when and if it grew above a certain diameter. My wife was worried about the aneurysm bursting, and Dr. Griffith put his hands on her knees, drew closer to her and said, “I won’t let it.” After a couple of years, the aneurysm had gotten bigger, and so open-heart surgery was scheduled. On the day of her surgery in 2017, one of the operating room nurses told us that Dr. Griffith was her favorite doctor and “the best.” How did it turn out? My wife is alive and well after three years. If I ever need heart surgery, I would place my life in his hands without hesitation.

Please don't let this man practice on you or a loved one. I have never known a doctor with less care for his patients. Perhaps if he were to do more of a assessment of his patients his rating would not be as low as 3.5 out of 5. and my family member would still be well.

Well, this is the guy that has a Knife & knows how to use it!! Dr. Griffith was the Attending Surgeon that did my Open-Heart Surgery to repair my Aorta & Mitral Valves. The Surgery was a SUCCESS!!! I suffered ENDOCARDITIS (Infection of Heart) & needed IMMEDIATE OPEN-HEART SURGERY. Thank God for the UMMC Team that worked as a Team (Unlike @ other Hospitals I've been). I was in the Main Hospital & happen to see a Huge Picture of Dr. Griffith on the wall across from Au Bon Pain (I love that place!)....and I said, \There he go Mom! That's the one that Cut me open!\ I know that sounds weird but you'd act all out too if you was strung up 1 Day & could only breathe quick shallow breaths, then next day you wake up taking in them Full Big Deep Breaths of Clean Fresh Air.....Yeah, you'd be acting Silly too!! Dr. Bartley explained EVERYTHING so I knew where I was, What was Happening & Who was doing What, etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. BARTLEY GRIFFITH @ UMMC TO ANYONE NEEDING OPEN-HEART SURGERY & WANTS TO COME OUT ALIVE & WITH A FAVORABLE OUTCOME!!! THANKS! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
