There are many homeless folk I see nowadays sleeping rough in the streets of Belfast. Why they chose to not travel to get themselves sorted in terms of getting that support into getting themselves into permanent accommodation boggles my mind. This place had plenty of spaces available when I stopped here for about a month. Staff are professional and even though I didn't want to have to be seen by the local doctor in Ballymena what with not having any history of being in bad health, they still went the extra mile to have contacted my current GP to let him know that I was no longer living at the address I was living at for the past 14 years before dropping into here. Extra bills include food and the use of laundry facilities ran up to around about 70 odd a fortnight on top of having rent paid via benefits. 24hr CCTV for piece of mind in terms of security both from within and outside the vicinity of the hostel. It was a roof over my head until such time I found alternative permanent accommodation. Certainly prevented me from sleeping on the streets. When your that desperate to be re-homed. Beggars can't be choosers and if there is no spaces in the city to where you were living in by other hostels. The best option if anyone is that serious to be looking to be supported into permanent accommodation is to travel to hostels no matter how far out it is, to get to receiving that support to finding permanent accommodation..
