I absolutely LOVE these types of places. Cafe breakfast with bottomless coffee. We went in with a crew of 12, and was surprised with how efficient their staff was to respond considering how small the establishment is. I didn’t get to try any of the bakery items but the bacon, eggs, pancakes, biscuits, toast, and grits (I was a bit hungry that morning) were ON POINT! This will be a regular stop on future trips through town.

The service from the time we walked through the door until the time we left the Bakery Cafe in Rockport, TX was outstanding. The appetizer of fried mushrooms was excellent. I had the open roast beef sandwich with brown gravy & mash potatoes & fried okra. My Wife had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes & white gravy & a roll. Our food was hot when the server assistant brought it to our table.

It is a typical homey Cafe setting. I had the fruit salad which looked like something you would pour out of a can. Hubs had the taco soup, the crackers was stale but was better than my fruit salad. We both had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn. Finished the meal with chocolate pudding. All in all it is a decent meal that will fill the belly. Nice staff. Good atmosphere. p.s. we entertained ourselves with the plate (lid?) that I could spin on the table like a top! See pics.
