Fantastic panorama - To save time we took the small car park „Parcheggio Castello Volterraio“, lies directly on the road but holds no more than three cars. the ruin itself seems to be closed from October - but the view is stunning! Good weather and visibility provided.

Make this trip only for the view. The castle itself is closed and you can’t see anything. Make sure you get good shoes and a water bottle.

Wonderful must-visit, if you are on Elba. We had a very competent and nice guide, that answered all our questions and knew near everything about the history of the Castello and it's surrounding.
