This motel has the best service. The owner is so friendly. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and we ordered dinner from the restaurant which was delicious! The rooms were really comfortable with modern design and the cleanliness was outstanding. The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful to the room and the perfect space to sit outside with a hot cuppa! In addition to all this, there is a large pool again so clean! The kids loved it. We had planned to stay only one night here but ended up staying two! Highly recommended and true value for money.

The rooms here were super clean and very modern feeling. There was complimentary breakfast, a pool on site and a beautiful view of the lake right from your room. The staff was very friendly. This was a great stay on our trip up the Cabot trail!
I arrived at 8 pm and my room key was waiting for me and I had a nice conversation with the owner (Maqbol). He is so friendly and humble person and do all what he can do to impress his guests. He called us right after I entered the room to make sure that my wife liked the room. My daughter broke the tip of the vase and I offered to pay for it but the owner refused and he said no problem. I stayed in room# 25 and the room was clean with a nice smell. The mattress was super comfy and clean too. The bathroom was dry with nice smell too and had shampoo and soap The heating was working well and the room was heated in no time. In the morning, I had the opportunity to discover the place and I was amazed by the lake view, it was calm and so beautiful. The breakfast was scrambled eggs, muffins, bread, yogurt, jam, peanut butter, cereal,milk, coffee and cream I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Breton (especially if you are planning to do the Cabot Trail) and it will be my favorite place to stay next time I am visiting Cape Breton. Beautiful rooms, bed are so comfortable. Staff are fabulous. Free breakfast in am was sausage, hashbrowns, and the fluffiest scrambled eggs Looking forward to our next stay. Beautiful sunrise

Ideal location to do the Cabot Trail! I arrived Friday, took my time to do the trail on Saturday with enough time to be back and eat supper at the motel, then depart Sunday. The view of the lake is beautiful, room was clean, had chicken biryani from the restaurant on-site and it was DELICIOUS (big portion). Staff are friendly and I’ve seen the owner buzzing around the property always with a smile. I think it’s great value for the money and I feel good to spend my money here. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff however.......I was travelling with 2 disabled people and was headed to the disability room, which we were upgraded to according to my spouse, and the staff member asked us to move to a different room ok we agreed but the room we got now had peeling paint on the ceiling and floor was sticky ( like the cleaner was not wiped off) I was literally sticking to the floor. It was nice to see a hot continental breakfast though. Coffee cups could have been bigger but I do love my coffee. Seem like the owners are upgrading and good on you will try again. Next time will ask for disability room....Enjoy!
