been coming here recently for a FrIday afternoon takeaway treat - 1/4 roast chicken and swap the fries for veg. Usually quite tasty and good portions, however, now being charged extra for veg - (and not getting the fries) and the chicken is mostly just carcass with little meat. Disappointing as i quite liked this place

Went here a couple of times during my Uni days and it was a little run down, average coffee etc. Went last night for dinner and wow has the place improved. The lamb and parmasean fries was amazing and the service; excellent also. Highly recommended.
Had dinner with some friends last night. The staff were excellent, food was delicious and the restaurant was very relaxed and comfortable with plenty of outdoor seating. Can't wait to come back when the live jazz is back.
A choice of 3 menus gave an excellent choice of meals. Even had a window seat with a view of the Mitchell library. Staff were helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend.
Good coffee, good cake, pleasant staff, and a great atmosphere. Will keep coming back
