Wish I had more time to rummage through some of the greatest collection of books I've ever seen. Hope to go back there in the future.

(Disclosure: I have known the owner of this shop (see; ‘temple of knowledge’) for a few years, much to his displeasure) Many of the books found here, I’m sure, could be found elsewhere. Certainly there are a great number that could not be found in better condition elsewhere. What cannot - I’m sure - be found elsewhere is the dedication and soul that one is immediately struck by when entering. A great quantity of different styles, languages and genres are contained here, with many first editions and local authors also to be found. While I cannot speak to the quality of the framing service offered I have seen the effort that goes into the frames and so can speak to the passion, which is enormous. I have also not seen such a collection of typewriters of such a variety of fashions for such affordable prices and indeed one may be concerned at the breadth which the shopowner stretches himself but this only enhances the astonishment at the quality of all fronts. I have never been to Shakespeare and Co. however I dare say I feel I may never need to for Babuska Books is almost certainly a fine alternative. Even if you don’t find the book you’re looking for - in which case it can certainly be ordered - a cursory glance will reveal many books and items to satisfy. This shop has afforded me so many experiences and introduced me so many friends that no price could possibly be so high.
