I have been having riding lessons here for almost 3 years now. All of the staff are so helpful and welcoming and the on sight shop is well stocked and very reasonably priced. The horses are very well cared for and are very clearly loved by staff and visitors alike. Jennifer is an excellent instructor who is very knowledgeable. She strips back your riding to ensure you are a good, competent and safe rider. Safety is so important and she will not let you do what you are not ready to do safely (although looking at previous reviews some people don't appreciate that). Better safe than on your back after being thrown or losing your balance! She encourages you to push yourself and achieve amazing results and I have come on leaps and bounds in my riding. I have gone from having never ridden a horse to cantering through woods, jumping courses and becoming a dressage addict, all because of Ayr Equitation Centre and their staff. Cannot recommend enough.

I loved it here. Jennifer my instructor was so lovely and so helpful she pushed me further than my limits. But also let me me decide my every move on my pony Lil. defiantly booking more loved the hack up the wood. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend. It was so much better than I expected

Lovely yard and horses are well taken of, however not great for someone who had taken a break and is looking to get back into riding. I had injured myself so I took a break from riding for a few weeks. When I got back into it, Jennifer my instructor pushed me too hard for what I could do with the injury I had, (I damaged a nerve in my back which has caused suspected sciatica.) on top of that I have hyper mobility and asthma. Jennifer was completely aware of this, but just said. “____ you need to get fitter if you want to keep riding. You aren’t going to get any better the way you are. I can’t let you canter because you can’t stay in Trot, and I can’t let you jump because you can’t canter.” I can definitely do all of those things and even did my first canter jump on a horse that was being difficult. I’m not unfit, I have medical conditions that affect my mobility and activity. And when I dismounted that day, my legs collapsed under me from the amount of work I did. Jennifer didn’t even check if I was Alright at first. She just said “that’s why you bend your knees when you land.” Yet I did bend my knees. It was only when I couldn’t stand for at least half a minute, she tried to help me up. Didn’t sound very sympathetic at all. Not going back for a while let’s just say that.

I wanted to start riding again ..I was last on a horse 25 years ago so was somewhat apprehensive .. no need .. Nicola was so kind and an excellent instructor ..I loved every minute and have 2 more lessons booked and will be booking more.. looking forward to some lovely hacks in lovely surroundings.. Thank you.

Sent my daughter here to learn and gain experience with horse's and the way she was treated and spoken to on two separate occasions by some of the adults was appaulling.
