Wonderful building, LOVELY receptionists and fantastic asthma nurse. Overall fantastic. Very saddened to have to leave due to catchment area change.

This surgery is generally good with some great Nurses but the women's health service is really poor. They have an elaborate waiting list for contraception fittings which means you have to live in doubt for months before randomly being notified of an appointment and to be told by the receptionist this could be 3-4 months. They will also not combine a routine smear with a contraception fitting service meaning as a woman you have to endure two rather than one appointments and intrusive examinations. Not exactly patient centred and I got from reception staff it's a cost cutting exercise to try and get people to use the Brookside service. Very disappointed that I'm required to attend two health centres for two invasive procedures when I should be able to book one appointment at one centre that is my usual GP practice and close to home. At a time when women's health is clearly under scrutiny it really isn't satisfactory and shows a lack of real care to patients. This is not patient centred practice.

The surgery has improved a lot over the last few years. The staff, Dr's and Nurses are friendly and helpful. Especially when my daughter has been unwell over the last few years :)

I continue to be impressed by the caring professionalism of both the medical and support staff at HMC. Doctors go out of their way to explain probable causes of symptoms and suggest effective treatment plans which reassures me that they really care. The practice also runs a friendly, interactive Patient Participation Group where isolated problems can be aired and quickly resolved. I consider myself very fortunate to have access to this quality medical centre.

A most amazing service! The staff at HMC really care about their patients. A doctor will call you back after an initial telephone triage and if necessary offer you an appointment on the same day; we are so fortunate.
