Different from other castles in the area. Is only a pretty small castle site, which was converted in to a farm. So you're looking mostly at a converted farm site. Still interesting though not my favourite in the area.

Fabulous historic monument in glorious setting. Visit on an heritage open day
Quite a remote site to reach but well restored and pleasant picnic areas
Aydon Castle is quiant, it didnt take long to get around the whole grounds, but my girls enjoyed running around playing hide and seek in the grass area
Loved it. What an unexpected gem of a place. Great info from the volunteer guides on site. Lots of interesting history over many ages and well preserved.
